A Brighter Avenue is always looking for dedicated professionals to join us in our mission as well as individuals who are new to the field and eager to learn. If you are a team player who is enthusiastic and passionate about helping people with special needs, please view our opportunities below.
As a Provider, you will interview with families to find the perfect match! Once paired with your client, you will have the opportunity to become certified (if not already) to perform any of the following services your client has:
Habilitation - Working on individual goals your client has which might include self-help skills, attention to task, communication, etc.
*This service requires Habilitation Training
Respite - Taking care of your client while the primary care-giver takes a break. This can include outings, movies at home, or anything your client enjoys!
Attendant Care - Helping your client with personal care activities. This might be brushing teeth, preparing meals, doing laundry, etc...
*This service requires Direct Care Worker Training
All services require CPR, First Aid, Article IX, and a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Don't worry, we can help you schedule your trainings, apply for your fingerprint clearance card, and prepare you to best service your client!
Behavior Health Technicians are providers who have completed (or will complete within 30 days of hire) a 40 hour Applied Behavior Analysis course. This allows the BHT to work with one of our kiddos on the autism spectrum who is utilizing ABA (applied behavior analysis) services.
BHTs work with their kiddos in the clinic and in the child's home. The clinic setting gives the child socialization opportunities and gives the BHT on-site supervision, feedback, and support. The home setting gives the BHT and his/her child the quiet space to complete intensive learning sessions. All work is supervised by a BAT.
Registered Behavior Technicians are BHTs who have completed the testing and certification requirements of an RBT. RBTs utilize the clinic and home settings to work with their kiddos on their individually tailored programs, while working closely with their BCBA supervisor.
If you are passionate about helping a child with autism and are excited to watch your kiddos make leaps and bounds in their programs, the BHT/RBT position might be right for you!
Whether you are already a BCBA or a Behavior Analyst Trainee working on your hours, we can explore the clinic-based and home-based options for supervision, collaboration and direct service. Team oriented, excited and passionate individuals wanted!
Traditional therapies are a cornerstone of our tailored programs at A Brighter Avenue. Offered in the clinic as well as in the home, Speech, Occupational and Music therapies are an integral part of the collaborative plan for our Early Learning Center kids, our After School Program, and our field kids and adults.
