Services

Here at A Brighter Avenue, we know how difficult it can be to navigate the world of special needs services.  We are committed to simplifying this process for you and your family.  We aim to provide a collaborative therapy plan that is tailored to your child. Please see the brief description of services below.

Home-Based ABA Therapy

Home-Based ABA Therapy

Home-Based ABA Therapy

One of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts will conduct an assessment of your child's strengths and needs and will tailor a program specifically for him or her that adjusts as your child progresses. One of our caring professionals (a Registered Behavior Technician or Behavior Health Technician) will run the program with your child up to 40 hours per week in the comfort of your home with BCBA program oversight.

Early Learning Center

Home-Based ABA Therapy

Our ELC, designed for kids with autism or at risk for autism, ages 1 - 6, features a one on one RBT or BT with each child running individualized ABA therapy programs. Our kiddos get the benefit of intensive one on one instruction while enjoying the social interaction with their peers as well as school-readiness activities such as circle time. Traditional therapies are available and the programs are overseen by BCBAs.

After School Program

Home-Based ABA Therapy

After School Program

Our ASP is intended for kids on the autism spectrum ages 7 - 13. Each child is paired with a BHT or RBT to work a program tailored to the child while socializing with peers. The kiddos practice daily living skills such as meal prep, cleaning the kitchen, taking care of a bedroom in the mock "hotel" as well as games and group arts and crafts. Traditional therapies are available and the programs are overseen by BCBAs.

Habilitation

Attendant Care

After School Program

Habilitation providers work one on one with a child or adult in the client's home or the community. The pair work on goals set by the state that might include motor skills, self-help skills, attention to task and other activities related to the individual's needs and preferences.

Respite

Attendant Care

Attendant Care

Respite providers care for a child or adult with special needs in the client's home or in the community. This may include watching movies together, playing games, going on a walk, or to parent/guardian-approved field trips. Respite is intended to give the primary caregiver a break.

Attendant Care

Attendant Care

Attendant Care

Attendant Care providers work on daily living activities that a child or adult with special needs may have trouble doing for himself or herself. This can include personal care like brushing teeth and washing hair, meal preparation, laundry or other such tasks as dictated by the individual care plan.
